Squidgy colour inventory

Post by anselmo » Sat Oct 03, 2009 8:15 pm

Guys

Seeing as Squidgy seem to be going the way of other lure makers and rolling in and out new colours, some of which will not be re-seen, can we start posting pics of the various colours we have seen in squidgies?

I'll start the ball rolling with a fish and wriggler colour chart, but I know for sure (even from here in Ireland) that there are other colours available that are not listed on these

e.g. I have Alvin Purple, and (what I call) naked Killer Tomato plus the late lamented hot tail series

I'll post pics of them over the next few weeks but if you have squidgies in colours that aren't shown already - post a pic! (close up detail preferred thumbsupsmilie )
or even if you have some of the above colours - decent close ups would be appreciated

Right

As the Squidgy site has been updated, I now note that some of our favourites appear to be gone (Shad in Silver Fox notably - Dusky Chaser any comments?, also Bug in frostbite and avocado)

So here are 2 pics of the latest colours available (correct as of today)

Now also for those of you who are considering pouring your own I will comment on the possible colour mix used

e.g. Killer Tomato
Belly - silver pearl (for 2 fl oz plastisol add dash silver pearl powder)
Shoulder and tail - Mix Fouro red and flouro pink (for 2 fl oz plastisol add 4 drops fl red and 2 drops fl pink)
marking - black stripes (soft plastic paint)

Any others you are interested in knowing, put a message here and I'll see if I can work them out (some are easier than others!)

Wanna have a guess at Mint Jelly? How are the moulds coming on by the way?

Cheers,

molds turned out good
they are one sided so theres a flat top rather than a rounded top but the tails, head detail, scales scratches and belly flaps are all perfect
so although they don't make exact copies they will be near enough - the fish won't care

i'll be posting some pics this weekend of the mold and lures

mint jelly
hmm my pics above are not great
i'll look for a better (bigger pic) online and come back to you

Ok mint jelly
mint jelly pack.jpg
Appears to be a cream belly and a bright green back with gold and black glitter
the green back appears to be mainly watermelon (green) possibly with some fluoro green added to brighten it
the cream belly appears to be simple cream (which will refelect some of the colour of the back) and appear to eb a greenish tinge without actually having any green in it

if you have a decent close up pic of a mint jelly post it and i'll have a better guess for you

it seems to be very simialr to grasshopper but in grasshopper the back is opaque rather than clear and has no glitter

hows that?

Nick blahblah
