OLD UNKNOWN TIMBER LURE

Dunno what this old timer is.

My guess is that it's a Tenterfeild Mini Dart. Tow point, split rings, bib and the paint all look Trevor's.

Quite a few Tenterfield & surrounding area luremakers use the same style line ties.

Even some old Flicks have the same style.

I thought it mighta been related to these old buggers which I posted a while back which are still a bit on the mysterious side.

There were some Dampier Divers posted not long ago, they also have the same tow points, seems like they were popular in that era.

The black lure looks to have a bit of Ringtail in it. I have one in a packet somewhere but I can't find it, only because I don't think Peter Newell made them but I think his name was on the packet. There might be a connection between this lure and Peter. If you ask the guy from Original Lures, he will know. The top lure's nose makes it different from a Mini Dart, and the eyes are to high. Could you add a photo of the green and black lure from above so we can see the bib shape please.

the green and black may be a "Mitto lure" or a "Powell".
the black, yellow and blue stripe looks like an early version of a Peter Newell "Dusky"

not sure on the others.
