We've been selling Hueys for a few years now and the Fish Cakes are the most Popular for sure, Had an issue with some not floating once, but that was sorted by changing to lighter hooks and they were good as new!!!

In my opinion you should not have to change hooks .They work or they are collectors . Dust collectors.
Fishing the tasmanian streams is more a passion then a sport , My wife thinks its an affair.

Sorry for da Confusion there Flash. The Manufacturer changed the hooks not the customer, a couple slipped through the quality control supervisor!

Are you in Tassy or the mainland WN ?
I have not seen a Huey's in a Tassy tackle shop as yet .
I had a couple of the 10cm models that didn't swim but i'm sure some of the other models may work ?
The grubs look ok but i was reluctant to spend any more money after the first few that i received
I have gone with the Esoterics which are now a favourite !

Ive since replicated a few of his fishcakes and they seem to swim to my liking more so then the sinker . Pedder will undoubtly get the usuall rip with them .

Ahh nice one WN ,not a bad store though you would have to be the only store in Tas with any Huey's on the shelf .
Pitty the props on the cakes are all wrong too as they do not make the traditional plop ,plop ,plop sounds (with the optimal slow retreive) like the original .The props on the "Huey's copy" make a buzzing sound and a good draw on the rod is required to get them to spin at all ,not a good way to retreive a cake !
Also there are no treble hangers which plays a big part in the hook up rates ,especially on such a big chunk of oval shaped timber .
I just wish i could afford an original Helens Fichcake
