Re: marz lures
Definately a Timberjack, very similar to a Smilin' Jack lure. One of Marzys good mates Gary would have the biggest collection of Marz Timberjacks and boasts one of every color Maurie has ever made. Gary fishes nearly every time with a Timberjack (he has so much success) and has even named his boat after the lure. As for wether to collect or use, I try and get two of each. One to fish with and one to put in the collection. If the one you fish with is very successful and ends up with severe battle scarring, retire it next to the mint condition lure with a couple of pics of the fish that fell victem to it. Makes for a very interesting display.
Re: marz lures
The other lure is a Pee Wee. Marzy makes another one called Bee Bee, same pattern, differant name. Ah, the ecentricities of a lure maker.
Re: marz lures
Saw some Marz lures at a caravan park a couple of hundred Ks from adelaide the other day, wanted to buy some but the seller took cash only and i was all out!!! Almost cried... Very nice, unique looking lures.

Re: marz lures
Do what I do Jardz, get another couple of the same lures. Have one in your collection and use one. Take photos of any fish you catch and then if you end up losing the lure at least you can put the pics with the other lure. Makes a nice talking point and proves that not only is the lure collectible but it works as well.
