Very successful deer hunt!!!

Post by OLDMAN » Sun May 16, 2010 8:48 pm

I went west to check out the viabillity of a new deer hunting property yesterday,
When I arrived at the property ,I let it slip that I had to stop in the local village
to see if I could find any old lures.
The property owners reply was..." I think I have some old stuff here somewhere"
He went to the shed and opened an old and dirty tackle box.

He asked if any of these were of interest.
My drooling made it unnessisary to answer him,so he gave me the box.
when I tipped them out, I was dissapointed th find all the timber lures were Queenslanders.
lol lol lol lol lol lol

But after a liberal use of MME (Mully's magic eraser) they came up ok.

Not the type of lure I expected to find in the New England area.
Laurie.

sweet pickup mate those erasers come in massive blocks now that you can cut up yourself any size i like these even better and are much better value for money...Another thing i like to do just my usual ritual is add lanolin to my lures after to keep the shine on them...dont use crap lanolin must be pure or you will hurt them chemists sell it like Vaseline add it and polish off you wont be dissapointed;;

sorry to distract from your post again awesome find mate ya lucky bastard clapclap

@simon
They are a great lot of lures.
All of the Leads and all of the C lures (except the Bannanafish) are signed.
