How about a little Surface Fizzer for Bream/Bass called the "Evil Beetle" Handcrafted in Wauchope NSW by Paul Gill.
Found 5 colours at a couple of shops in Port Macquarrie

Brad,
Did you see that Prowler lure I posted, only a one off, same name as used by Elliot for one of his.
The maker was listed on the label as a PO Box in Labrador, Qld.
Prowler Lures, model the Brocket 125mm plastic, shallow. I've since swapped it with Steve (a member here).
Have a look in the For Sale or Swap site for pic.
Mightn't be worth adding to the Database as I've never seen another, fairly old, picked it up in a bargain bin.
Regards, Tony (Wulagi, NT).

Great mate, glad to contribute, I'll have a few obscure Territory makers to add over time, when I take some more pics.

Brad,
This is probably the most valuable thread in L&M, IMHO.
What can you tell me about Laurie White? Noticed him listed as Caloundra Qld., I'm curious as I've had a barra style minnow for several years with L.White written under the bib. Had no idea where this lure came from, purchased in a group of three timber barra style lures on Ebay.
Also, you have Wild River under the NT, think I heard somewhere they come frrom Mareeba FNQ, don't know who makes however, definitely not NT.
Thanks for your dedication.

rally44,
it's definitely Laurie White from Caloundra. I have one also and Laurie wrote L White under the bib in fine marker pen.
I have a friend who id'ed mine (he recognised it straight away without seeing the signature) as his family used to have a holiday house in Kings Beach Caloundra and his dad was a member of the same fishing group.
I will however ad Lionels name to the list, and would appreciate any further info on him. thumbsupsmilie

Rally44 & Brad,
My yellow one I posted (didn't show underneath shot) is definitely signed exactly as Brad said under bib, running script in fine pen L.White.
Anyway Richard thanks for the info. on Lionel another Aussie maker. What about yourself, are you still making and selling at Cotters Market?
Regards, Tony (Wulagi, NT).

Hi Tony I gave away lure making about 2001 with the flood of cheap/nasty asian lures. The old Cotters Market in city mall is still clinging to life whilst mall undergoes $30m face lift re opening ti traffic next year. I have recently retired and still have stocks of white beech and red cedar in shed. I will need to get airbrushes etc renovated (me likewise!) Perhaps later in year I'll start something ! I will let you know. I have very much enjoyed all the topics and expertise shown on these pages, although I am not a collector. Cheers Richard
