Yes Simon, that's a Lee's.
Afraid being an old-fart, nor owning a digital camera I'm unable to show you.
Take my word you have one, think I acquired mine in about 1991 on a trip to Townsville.
Hope he's still making them, pretty sure his name was Richard Lee.

Just looked at the list again after looking thru my mother-lode box (cottage lures going back 30yrs.).
Noticed no listing for Wild River Lures.
Have several of these I picked-up in N.Qld. & N.T. over the past 10-15yrs.
Are timber, beautifully painted for the barra fisher and have WRL in freehand on bottom behind the metal painted bibs.
I'll definitey have to get a digital camera, learn how to download.

Regards, Tony B.

(ps. has anyone heard of the initials JDL for a maker, have an unknown I found at Edmonton Bait & Tackle in early 90's, best paintjob I've ever seen on a cottage lure.) Thanks.

Tony

I'll have to run with the standard L&M response to you being unable to post any pictures and tell you to send them to me for photographing. lol

Thanks for clarifying it was a Lees lure, I got it in a bunch a while back and wasn't sure what it was.

For the Wild River lures there have been a few posts, if you type Wild River into the search box on the top right corner of the screeen in the Lure and more banner it should bring up a few posts.

By the sounds of it you have some good queensland timber lures so i hope you get the urge to go digital and start posting some pics.

Simon

Castaway Lures,
Couple of packets on the wall of the shop at The Entrance .... Owner couldn't remember who made them and when.
Illusion (Large) and Illusion (Small) ..... Copies of Deception Shrimp and Nipper???
No contact details on the packets. Would Paul Kneller know who did these???

Jim,
Castaway was a 'brand' done by Strike Zone Lures with the models being the Illusion Small and Large. They were made for a couple of years somewhere between 2002 and 2007, during the time Gripske & Associates owned Strike Zone. The subsequent owners relied on stock purchased with business if they sold any. From memory there were about a few hundred blanks lying around when I gave up the Strike Zone agency in 2007.
I myself picked up 1 of each recently as well out of a bargain bin, seeing the ones I had were a bit beaten about lol

Cheers Brad
