Post by diemai » Mon Feb 13, 2012 3:37 am

G'day , people

Just jammed together some older pictures to a little "How-To" video , .........guess , that I've put the single pictures up in here before , ........but please forgive me , being a full size computer dummy -duh I'm so glad that I finally got this thing done , even with a music tune of my own choice , ...my daughter taught me how get these tunes from the internet onto my computer yay .

This is how I do my lure rattles for medium sized to bigger timber baits .

Very smart indeed . I use a straw with plastic glued in place . Probably not as loud as your brass drum. I spose a .22 shell would be suficiant for your rattle too .Good job dieter.

Some guys do use ammo casings , I know , ........even heard from a German guy , that he utilized the smaller valued coins of the former German Democratic Republic , as these were made of a lightweight aluminium alloy .

He would countersink either side of the crosswise hole and glue these in after having inserted the BB's .

A friend of mine uses the heads of paper tacks for same purpose .

But I just wanted a closed rattle casing , I find it more convinient this way rather than doing countersunks onto a readily shaped lureblank .

Thanks a lot , mate bowsmilie , .......greetz , Dieter howdy
