New Tica DuffMan rods

Picked up myself a new duffman tournament ultra cast 6'10" 1 pce rod today. Cant wait to use it. Designed for pgymys so should be good thumbsupsmilie

i might have to have a play sometime soon and make a decision...
although i am looking at getting a 6wt fly setup soon..

ah mully im guessing the fact that most pygmys are under 4' tall that it should be in the 40-60kg range..i could be mistaken though! lol

Comfortable grips arnt the Julz !
they are the low end version of the set up that i use on my bream rods...

im sure Julz will confirm it..

but im pretty sure shes a 1-3kg.

Very nice grip and whip. Apparently they cost around $600 before tica bought the rights.

These rods were designed by Steve Duff, Stuart McGlauglin and Rick Masse, the were sourced by Stuart from China on a visit and based on the Tica Crispex Extreme, they have put in a fair bit of work to get them to what they are now. Lets face it they are no Loomis IMX but they are a nice little rod all the same, probably comparable to the Berkley Dropshot Tournement Pro or the Shimano Raider Finnesse.

Cheers for the info ecofreak. I am yet to get it out due to work and family commitments. As soon as I have some free time ill be givng it a go.
