Pflueger top range rods

Post by rodmy » Sun Jul 13, 2008 3:32 pm

The Pflueger Supreme Graphite rods (Dropshot) are great rods on par with Loomis. Why Pflueger are intent on keeping them secret is beyond me. Dealers dont stock them, theres no advertising. I got mine from Mail Order Tackle who gave me lots of advice before purchase

Hey guys,
I have some insight to the Pflueger, with one of my associates having most of the range to test and redesign if required.
Hitrods, & rodmy,
He gets the rods long before they make the local catalogues, gives them a work out and send a report back to Shakespeare on his recomendations re models to offer or changes to make to a rod/reel before launching it here.
To give some credence, he done the same thing for Loomis, Shimano and Daiwa over the last few decades.
I agree they are great rods and offer real value for money.

Nathan,
I too was not fussed with the long butt on some rods, this is a quirk of a lot of US designs, but having perceviered I know am used to the extra length and now choose rods with 10" butt for many uses. If the length is still an issue, use a razor blade to remove the butt cap/plug and trim the butt down to your length, reglue the cap and thumbsupsmilie

Brad
I know what I know, the rest is simply details
acta non verba
