Grabbed a Sparrow today

Post by The Bream Reaper » Mon Sep 22, 2008 9:12 pm

'Accidentally' snapped the end off my cheapy Mojiko yesterday *cough cough* lol so OF COURSE I had to go out today and grab myself an early birthday present.

I am in love with my Steez 'Topgun' so I decided to add another upper end Team Daiwa rod to the collection:

A Battler Sparrow (gee Daiwa have some manly model names for some of there rods -duh )

6' 3", rated for 4-8lb line and 1/32-1/4 weights. Gonna wack my 2000 Caldia Kix on her for now.... (feel a new reel coming on)

Hopefully my next post will be some capture pics thumbsupsmilie

Gotta love the sliding ratcheted reel clamp=> hopefully it doesn't fail too soon:

Got her for a VERY good price thumbsupsmilie original price was $430ish when first on the showroom floor but they are superceeded so there are a few good deals around. The 6 foot Taurus model can be found for $220 at the moment.

It is actually 6' 6", not 6' 3" oopssmilie
