Daiwa Blue Backer

Post by Falky » Thu May 08, 2008 10:02 pm

Howdy, just wanted to share my new rod with you. When I found out they had brought a Blue Backer rod out, I knew I had to have one to go with my Blue Backer 200 reel. Feels superb in the hand so far. Now all I would like is to use it yay yay yay

very cute set up Adam !!!

nearly got a blue backer when they first where released...love the oversized knobs...kicking myself that i didnt, think that was in the beginning of my Megabass Smolt aquistion mission ! lol

great way to take shots of a rod against the sky, i do it as standard..if you turn the flash on (or forced flash) it takes a superb shot...

try it tommorrow youll be plesantly surprised with the result i assure you !

heres an example of a shot i took a few days ago...
i stand in the shade and take the shot as it prevents the sun glare refecting of the shine of the rod...

this is with the flash off

same shot with the flash on...and a little editing as i sometimes put a piece of masking tape acress the flash to tone it down a little and stop the glare...so i have upped the light level slightly using my software.
