As I lay here in hospital after 8 days ive had time to ponder whats happening in my life. ..I've just had a stroke which has left my right side pretty useless and with a long stay in rehab have to consider what and where life is leading me...
The forum hosting went up 30 percent only about a week or so after renewing the contract and having been told I had no choice but to pay has left me with a bitter health is at a all time low and new costs and expenses will only make thing's harder for me to itz with a heavy jeart I habe to tell you all lure and more may be shutting down soon....I have loved this site from its conception but health and rising costs simply make it impossible for me to manage any more and forcing my hand....
Thank you all for being a part of this first lure forum of its kind I will Inform you all of the final date soon..... the site may be run az a reference site only thus cutting costs to a minimal but this will be considerex with everything soon....
Sorry for the spelling mistakes typing left hqnded is hard and also using a smart phone is almost impossible. ..
I will not be answering email or pms wbile in hospital and rehab I am on Facebook as Mully Paul and find it easier to communicate there so say gday if your about

Thank you all

G'day Paul,

Wishing you a full recovery.

Would hate to see the site shut down completely as there is invaluable reference material and photos on record here and I would be horrified to see it happen.

If it was to happen, however, would it be technically possible to get discs made that had individual posts (including photos) accessible from an index of the relevant lure collecting sections.

I know that I for one would be willing to purchase such an item.

Cheers, Jim

Mully , sorry to hear about the stroke and l hope you do feel a little better soon. Life may seem totally crap right now , but it will get better.
lt can be a long road ahead , but with rehab you can lead a fairly normal life again. A friend of 40yrs had a stroke last year and has gone from incapacity to walking/lifting now.
Hope and determination work well together :)

I am sure there is someone out there who would take on the running of Lure and More , and as far as costs go , selling advertising and lure auctions etc?

Chin up mate , things will get better :)

Hi Mully,
Sorry to hear about your health worries and wishing you all the very best in meeting, and beating, the challenges that lie ahead.
Sorry also to hear of the likely closure of the Site in it's present form. I personally have found it to be an amazing reference point of great historical significance. It had aided me regularly and been of great assistance and a source of pleasure in learning and sharing details about "all things Lure".
So a sincere thank you for all your efforts in the past and the very best wishes for a bright future. Some times set backs can lead to amazing changes and even happier and more rewarding lives.
Best regards for now,

Mully - sorry to hear about your health issues and hope your health improves sooner than later

It will be sad to see Lure and More go and would be great if it can stay as a reference site as it has so much special information that has been posted by so many people over the years. It would be tragic if that info was lost

Kind regards

So sorry to read about all this , Mully , ........I deeply hope , that your health would improve real soon again , ....this is absolutely paramount !

Some two or three years ago I had already seen two lure, -and lurebuilding sites going down just like that , and I keep on missing them 'til this day , was an excellent crankbait reference site and the other one a German lurebuilding forum , in which I had also participated quite a bit ,'s real hard to see all of my publishing work , both in text and pictures , vanish into the virtual nirwana to be no more .

But as said before , taking care of yourself is much , much more important , and I'm certain , that it won't be that easy for you to give your baby "LureAndMore" into foreign hands or even have to let it die down entirely , .....time will tell .

All the best to you , Mully thumbsupsmilie , ....just get better soon , ....cheers , Dieter howdy
