Rick if it makes you feel more normal there are a few from Tassie as well. Im in the derwent valley . Im also into lure making with native tassie timbers .

where do you get your Houn pine from?
I might be able to help you there.
when I moved back to the west coast from living in Hobart for 20 years i nearly fainted when I went to a party and people were thowing it in the bonfire.
I now use it for sticks myself.
If your ever up this way send me a message and i would like to pick your brain for ideas.

Pine comes from here and there . recycled and so forth . I recon we could catch up in the coming trout season for sure .Im after some good quality king billy if you happen to come by any .

Hi everybody just realised i havent introduced myself yet howdy howdy .Ive been a member of this forum for 6 months and just realised i havent introduced myself.I started making lures aftr moving frm the Wait Awhile state to Victoria at xmas time.Never realised how many people actually make there own lures be it had bodied,soft plastics or spinner baits.Some of you have already seen my lures that ive posted up already.Great forum by the way Mully clapclap clapclap .

Cheerz for the complements guys.Yes finnsurance have been airbushn for to long.Gave it away for 10 years now getn back into it due to starting to make my own lures.This stuff is addictive trust me have spent a bit of $$$$$$$$$$ getn band saw linishing sander.I already had the airbrushes and compressors.

Hi, from Townsville,
Bullrout met me at expo and told me about this site,now i have had a chance to find site and sign up, few familar names i see here after last weekend expo. I am also starting to feel a bit better now after expo very big few days and liver is starting to recover.I am an estury lure fisherman and fish mainly the hinchinbrook Channel near Cardwell. My wife and i are also making lures up here under the name HJ lures,she makes em, i have to go out and product test them i have the hard job,
