He must have a delicate touch though if he can carve such a tiny little marvel of a lure.

Funny thing about all of this is that I have found out that this lure was offered up for ID & no one knew who made it. There were a few who had an idea on it being Keith`s, but apparently no one definite. It was good reasoning from those that had an idea on it being Keith`s, but none were sure.

The thing that I find funny & maybe food for thought is this. If Keith Baker made this lure & he surely did, how is it that nobody on one of the few lure collecting web sites in the country knew it was one of his

How often have we been told that Keith Baker is one of the legends in Australian lure making. He is a legend, but no one can ID a classic Keith Baker lure. Doesn`t this tell us all something

I have returned to this post to repost this pic of Keith. It was taken when I called into see him on a trip to see another old mate, much further down the line.

I have just received a call informing me that the old story of Keith dying many years ago & him ceasing to make lures because of his arthritis has resurfaced. Just a couple of little things that maybe of importance to some. This pic was taken in July 2014. He does get problems with his hands from time to time, but it`s not a permanent thing & it had little bearing on his decision to stop making lures for sale.

Just got a copy of some of the bullshit written on the one of the lure collecting, selling pages on facebook. One of the admin is the leading self- appointed expert in the lure world. Probably one of the least knowledgeable, however some of the poor buggers on the page no doubt listen to his valuable words.

Bullrout however, is a different man altogether. When I sent him an extremely rare Keith Baker lure as a gift, back when I still thought something of the bloke, he was very happy to receive it. But now Bullrout, you worthless piece of shit, if you think that lure is not one of Keith`s, just send it back. I`ll be happy to pay the postage. What you have there, you ungrateful maggot, is one of the very, very few lures Keith ever carved from White Beech. It may not be very old, but it`s considerably rarer than any of the more common minnows that idiots, like Pain & co. on facebook are convincing people are worth $300-$400.

Unbelievable to read how people can still think Keith is dead. I talked to him about his demise today. Is this all a conspiracy thought up by Rob Albert & myself & we have brought an actor in to play Keith & carve like Keith.

Apparently he died six years ago in Victoria, if I lived there I`d be happy to go as well. Information sourced from old neighbours(incorrect, but top blokes by the way)has been used to make these latest claims. Keith disappeared because he`d had enough of the crap & after seeing this last lot, I can`t say I blame him. He doesn`t want to be found for a reason, so good luck with your reception if you do find him. Anyone who can`t respect his privacy, obviously doesn`t respect him & will be treated accordingly I`m sure.

What I am finding is a common occurrence of not so subtle digs at us mighty Victorians. Quite clearly the most "rude and aggressive" section of Vince's latest post.

A little hard to argue with the facts stated regarding Keith. You would like to think that that cleared up any confusion.
