Barra:- Land-based Meterie

Post by Marrakai » Thu Mar 05, 2015 8:43 am

Time for my annual flyrodding post in this forum...

Bagged a couple of nice barramundi on the 9-weight the other day, including my best land-based barra so far:

Tossed the details up on the web here for the interest of those so-inclined.

Haven't had a lot of luck wading the Darwin Harbour flats lately, but that's a bit risky anyway so I should be turning my attention to the floodplain runoff fishing on offer as the wet season abates. Time to service the Yammie, hitch up the boat-trailer and head down the Finniss or out to the Alligator Rivers!
Cheers all.
