Lure and More - Australian lures, collecting lures,old lures,everything lures and more

Acquired this vintage spinner with a bunch of other gear some time back.
The lure is obviously quite old, probably Australian but may be British (...has that definite look of 'pre-American' influence!)
Cast lead, painted green and silver, weighing maybe 2 ounces.
The side-fins are off-set (helical) to impart spin.
The only reference I have seen to anything like this is in the first couple of editions of the Australian "Anglers Omnibus" circa late 1950s,
as part of a line-drawing heading-up an article on spinning from the rocks.


It is noteworthy that the two hooks, presumably original, are slightly different lengths, and this is possibly discernable in the drawing as well.

Anyone know the origins of this lure? It looks like a mass-produced factory job. Love to know who actually made it, and when.

Very interesting. The offset hooks were also used for lures like the tailor ticer as a way to reduce hooking up on rocks and cunje while spinning from the rocks. This was taken to the next level with the cunje dodger!

Would be nice to place it and good detective work on the ad!!
