Barcoo Barra rusty hooks

Post by noluresyet » Wed Sep 01, 2010 6:38 pm

The paint and timber on this lure is perfect, should I change the trebles ? or just take them off.
I see most of the other pics show the lures without trebles or they have protectors on.

Nice lure clapclap

Take the hooks off so no rust will get onto the lure if it rests against the lure while sitting in cabinet thumbsupsmilie

Thanks Tony,

Should I take the hooks of all my lures, or should I put tubing on.

most of mine have no hooks anymore...but I've kept all the hooks in zip lock bags marked with what lure they came from just incase whoever you trade/sell/swap with over time wants the original hooks...

any rusty ones should def come off though!

you're starting to get some great lures together now...well done!

Green lumo tubing is not recommended.

If the hooks are rusty they should come off. Can always replace the hooks but rust stains take a bit more to get off then there is always the issue of damage to the paint from the hook points.

Rust will end up spreading to split rings and tow points.
