Brad no problem mate, I use a fair amount of Silky Oak in my Lures, and i've only ever cut up Banksia--- Nuts --- Cones--- and they have a large open Grain. I've not yet cut up any timber from the tree or branches.
Cheers Steve

Brad, I know what your thinking, but the 2nd lure top right is actually not white, but natural wood and the same lure as the 4th lure in my second pic .... trust me, I chased it for years and Paul confirmed that the one in the colour chart is a white beech nude with a red splotch under the bib -duh

Having said that, Steve is absolutely right .... it is a white Basswood I'm missing and it's not on the colour chart - it exists, I don't have it yet but here's hoping it's not far away .... I have a lead lol lol thumbsupsmilie

Brad, I'm with you on this one - for ages I went looking for this lure thinking it was white - the one in the pic must have been very smooth grained or maybe the pic is slightly out of focus, well done Steve 1 of 51 only is headed your way thumbsupsmilie

Will post a pic when I finally lay my hands on a true white one for comparison -duh
Cheers Rob
