Hi All . . . .

Waited 3 years to find one of these in the box and very lucky to get the paperwork with it. Patented in 1929 this is the Kimmich Special Mouse made in Pensylvania, USA.

Probably my favourite mouse lure ever thumbsupsmilie

If it hasn't got the patent date or this type of bib, its not a Kimmich Mouse.

Paw Paw aslo made a hair mouse as did a few other companies

........very nice lure in top notch condition , Roger , ...great find thumbsupsmilie !

Never saw such kind of a "bucktail body" , ....pretty amazing what the folks of yesteryear came up with !

@ Mully

........Maybe the designer even dropped his shaving brush into the sink accidentally and said to himself "Wow , .....this might catch fish......?"

......who would ever know ? lol

I think it was about this time just before the Great Depression when 'hair' baits and frog imitations were popular.
These guys are one of the earliest designs and just have so much character. There were many other obscure and rare frog and mouse imitations.
The paperwork and box are worth as much as the lure and both equally rare - mainly surface in the Pensylvania area where they were made

And no Mully . . . not a dunny brush zippedsmilie
