Bill Norman lures

Post by d-man » Thu Jun 25, 2009 6:52 pm

These are a family of lures with a history. Started out as B H (Bass Hunter) Lures B-Bandits, then were marketed as Bass Bandits, then Bill Norman's Magnet Crankin' craws and most recently as unpainted lure bodies from Jann's Netcraft. Haven't seen them anywhere for a few years now. They came in 1/8 oz., 1/4 oz. and 3/8 oz. Great lures with a good action - one of my fave "go to" bass lures. Not bad over the sand flats for flathead too.

Snagged lure?? Just snap it off - I know a bloke who makes 'em.

Nepean Bass just love these things! thumbsupsmilie
I've barely managed to keep a single solitary Bass Magnet (it looks a little sad), others left with fish and some well I was just stupid and lost them on snags.
You have a wonderfull collection going there and I was completely oblivious to the history of the design.

Just found that they are still available at one site in the US (www.zeiners.com/bassmagnet.html). Don't know if they send to Australia but if you're chasing some it might be worth a try - thinking of adding to the collection myself actually! ???
