Additions to the Smiths Collection + Split ring Pliers

Post by Buff » Sun Sep 14, 2008 4:42 pm

Have been trying to hunt down a Smith's Towadi in #22 for over a year, and even been told at one tackle shop that Smith's don't do this colour, my the search is over.

Whilst at the tackle shop I had to invite a new Vib back home to the collection, a Smiths Sea Bullet.

Like most I have a set of the Smiths Split Ring Pincette’s and there great for changing those small split rings but if you have a lot to do they can be a bit fiddly.
So when I spotted these little gems I knew I had to have a set droolsmilie .

Below are a set of the pincette’s for comparison.

No they are both seperate items but well worth having both thumbsupsmilie

There not from my normal tackle store but from one just up the road from my work.
Have sent you a PM with the location as they only had two pairs left in the show case.

I bought a Smith lure not long ago, fished it on 3kg. Couldn't get it to swim straight.

I didn't try, took it off and put a SX40 on. Was only fishing for an hour.

Aren't "MOST" Smith's products in name only?

If I'm on the right track Smith Ltd had an affiliation with Heddon a couple or more decades ago.

Also, if it's the same mob they are basically only a distributor thatsellstuff branded with there name.

Very similar to buying "BLACK & GOLD" from IGA supermarkets.

Hope I'm wrong if anyone's spent big bucks on this brand.
