South Bend Fly Rod Mouse Orenos

Hi all . . .

Here's a few tiny little mouse lures I grabbed a few months back . . .

A couple of flocked fly mouse lures in boxes - one with black bead eyes, the other with white!!

A real interesting shape these mice and might try and copy one day . . . maybe . . . looks hard!!

Really lovely old lures and great mouse design , .......well worth to make knock-offs , ........looks like they are basically lathe-turned with some carved or routed indentions ?

But what I don't quite understand is , how a fish can get hooked securely ,...... only little gap between rear of blank and hookpoints , ........I would have rigged the double vice versa(but then no weed-resisting features anymore) ?

I can only explain this with the way , the American bass are deeply inhaling their prey , ....on European pike this won't work out well , I suppose .
