Luhr Jensen bought the rights to many lure designs, or purchased the entire companies is some cases. Phil Jensen was a great supporter of the smaller makers and either continued to make them or made sure the makers stayed in business, by making them a subsiduary of LJ.
Quite apart from their own lure models and designs, LJ ended up with an amazing stable of 'Legendary' lures.
Crankbait Corp.(diving bass lures)
Ewing Products
Alaskan Tackle Co
Abe 'n Al Tackle
Eddie Pope Co(spoons and spinners)
Maxwell Manuf.
Outers Laboratories
Glen L Evans(spoons and spinners)
South Bend Tackle(metals and wood lures)
Les Davis (spoons and spinners)
Mill Run(diving lures)
Florida Fishing Tackle(salt water lures)
Barracuda Brand
Tony Acetta(spoons and spinners)
Egar Tackle Co
Kwikfish(Flatfish style diving lure)
Ozark Mountain(wood surface lures)
Weber(spoons and spinners)

truly living up to their motto...Luhr Jensen...where Legends Live.

Unfortunately, once Rapala bought Lurh Jensen, primarily for the salmon/trout metals they had, the rest of the brands will be ignored and fade into history.
