yellow shore was just a phase I went thru Mully nahnah
Neil for give Paul, at one time I had a thing for yellow shore colours, I think I ended up with about 200 lures across Heddon, Arbogast, Paw Paw, Shakespeare, Whopper Stopper, Burke, Abu Hilo, Bunyan, Lucky Strike, and some very small US makers as wel as some asian copies. Theres pics somewhere in here still, search for yellow shore in the search bar. All I have kept is the Heddon Runts & Vamps, apart from some odds n sods I have yet to list.

Anyway back to your Question...my favourite colour would have to be any shade of Purple, I know you know how effective that colour is around SEQ freshwater. Another fav is clear which I have had very good success on, chasing various salt species in the flats on Moreton Bay.

Brad
Mully is partial to anything with a fresian colouring (white coachdog) He reckons those Cod in the Murray are partial to fresh moo cows, must be like the crocs and buffalo up north lol

Apologies for dragging this thread back to the top, but it has been bugging me for a long time!

I have always thought this was Arbogast's "Hula Diver".....

OK, I can understand different sizes, also a slightly different design in the jointed model, but I thought that particular lure tossed-up by Schultzy in the opening post was the "Arbogaster":
Arbogaster.jpg
Yes, I can see (very!) minor differences between the HulaDiver and Arbogaster in Brad's Yellow Shore example, and Schultzy's lure has "Hula Diver" written all over it, so.....

What's the go with my jointed example??

(...and it is white Coach-Dog as mentioned in Brad's previous post, so I'll have to keep Mully at arm's length! )

Marrakai,
It looks like you have the illegitimate offspring of a Hula Pike and a Hula Diver there...???

The body is 100% Hula Pikie, but all I have seen HAD Hula Pike stamped on the bib.
Now there is possibility or 2 here. The bib off both the Hula Diver and Hula Pike are the same except for the name.

1 the original bib was replaced with the bib off a Hula Diver sometime in it's life
OR
2 some silly hillbilly grabbed the wrong bib in the factory and screwed it on lol

Either of these scenarios is a possibility as Fred Arbogast was a great tinkerer and often came up with a new lure by adding different hardware of one lure onto the body of another.

So, to put this right I now need to find a Hula Diver wearing a Hula Pike bib?

That should be pretty easy......
