Welcome to LureAndMore , mate howdy , ........living on the other side of the globe I can't say much to help you with your local fishing , ..over here in Germany we are using bigger lures with less lively action , as the water temps chill down towards winter , .......simply because forage fish would also become less active and predators want a good bite for their hunting efforts , does not pay off chasing small minnows anymore , wasting too much energy in cold water this way .

Regarding plastic lures , we'd jig them actively along the bottom during summer , but in autumn and winter we'd rather toss them along the bottom in slow motion mode , constantly letting them pause for 2 or 3 seconds to rest .
