HUEY’S LURES~HANDCRAFTED HUON PINE LURES

Post by Fizza » Wed Apr 30, 2008 5:50 pm

Does anyone else have any of these brilliantly thought out lures. They’re handcrafted from the world’s oldest trees “Huon Pine”.
They’ve been around for approximately 13 yrs but not much is said about them.

Millions of them get sold on eBay and gee does the guy making them talk them up - and good on him cause they fetch a decent price.

I ended up buying some, but got rid of them not long later cause they looked second rate. I'm not doubting they would catch fish, but they don't look all that flash, and from what I've heard, the bloke who makes them should respectsign

I'm the same. I'm more than happy with the lures I have and a little surprised by Mr Willy's comments.

I've had a peep at there website and some of the fish caught on them are phenominal

I'll wack some up in a couple of days or Monday roughly. Just waiting on a few stragglers to come in and should be able to show a complete range of them. Too many to show all so i'll try and show the different styles and the various patterns. Hopefully someone else will get in 1st.

Yep that's some of them. Here's a few more. All are made from Huon Pine and unless snagged will last a lifetime. {nature of the tree & tmber used}

The 1st pics are the very early lures with a H impregnated in the belly. {Extremely Rare Prototype 70mm}

These are the GRUB series of Trout Lures. 4 colours/patterns-5 sizes/styles

I've also got a few specials that Carl was kind enough to do for me.

Hope i got all that right without pulling them out & counting. phew

I don't think anyone would doubt that credit must always go to the lure makers. Thank you Carl Hyland-Huey's Lures.

Some of them look pretty good fizza, but they look to me like a bit of a backyard job, but its only personal opinion!!

I've no doubt they will catch fish which was what sucked me into buying them in the first place, but for the prices they have been going for I dont think they are worth it!
