Pee Wee variations?

Post by two-bob » Mon Mar 29, 2010 8:00 am

Firstly, I know nothing about OarGee's. I have a few plastic ones I have picked up over the years for fishing but dont collect them. A few more made their way to me in a group of lures I bought and in them was a Purple Pee Wee which is a bit different than the others I had. The bib slot is cut alot deeper, as you would a timber lure and the bib is thinner. The name OarGee is written on the bottom but there is a distinct mould line around the lure. Would this be one of the early moulded lures?

I have taken a pic of it with another PeeWee which has no mould lines but I would say is plastic due to the very shallow bib slot.

They do not appear to be twisted hangers. they dont sit in the lure as far as the other (rainbow pattern) one but look the same type of wire and shape.

Looking at the deep cut bib slot, thin lexan and signed belly, would this make this one of the early moulded ones?
