Can anyone identify this one
Loomis
This has been in the drawer since the early 80's I recollect that it may be Shakespeare. There are no brand markings and it does not seem to match the Heddon's

Here's a Shakespeare one that is almost exactly the same. Nose a little different but everything else looks almost identical.

Thanks Stephen,
If my memory is right i purchased mine from the
mick Simmons store in Penrith in the early eighties. The box is long gone but the lure is in pretty good shape

Looking through my US lure bibles, Paw Paw catalogs from 1950 show a fur finish mouse "Minnie Mouse" model #56 2 1/2" long weight 5/8oz selling back then for 75c. Unfortunately there is no mention of the same lure in Shakespeare livery.
Is there any thing embossed on the bib at all

Paw Paw was bought by Shakespeare in 1970. Shakespeare was already owned by Creek Chub Bait Company from 1952 and was operated as a stand alone business. Shakespeare bought Pfleuger in 1966, so a lot of lures by the smaller companies ended up in Shakespeare packaging at some point.
That clip lock style box is fairly recent, prior to that the lure would have been in either a full celluloid box or a cardboard box in a celluloid sleeve, and even further back a full 2 piece cardboard box.
