Re: ITS THE SEASON TO BE POPPING TRA A LA

Been chasing the bass on sammys and poppers. Great fun! Just wish I had started this surface luring earlier than this year. If you have not tried it before ... give it a go. Very addictive. http://photos-b.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs115.snc3/16238_1287597231378_1273613999_866843_6202285_n.jpg Ch...

Re: Post Nightmares

I ordered about $100 worth of stuff from Japan, and after about a week the package turned up. Wow it is small, how did he stuff all that stuff in there. On opening it I found out why. I got a lure that was meant for a guy in France. The guy in Japan ended up refunding me my money and paid me for pos...

Re: Baker Cray Collective !!!

NICE!

I have always liked that lure ... never got to fish a real one though. Only got a couple of the Jaysea variant. They were tops on the bass.

A bit more info about the open day - http://www.kfdu.com.au/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=8291 Don't have a hobbie myself .... but have been very impressed watching them during comps. They are able to fish a lot more effectively as they don't need to put the rod down. Check out kfdu.com .... there is he...

Re: Do you use lures or just look.

I buy them to fish with ..... but have pulled several out of circulation because of their "historical" value. I find myself looking at some of the real collectible lures and thinking. "Jeez, I would love to throw that at a snag". That must be what makes them so collectible? For me the collectiblity ...

Re: Early Spook Deterioration Rate

I really like the look of that shrunken runt.

It's got a weird organic / natural look to it.

It must be bad when one of you pride and joy self destructs.

Re: Picking a lure.

I usually start off with a "gut feel". Probably based on a similar location or a similar situation and tie on a lure that I think will work. The interesting thing about this is that I very rarely tie on my favorite or "go to" straight away. I then change lures if I have no luck after about 30 minute...
