Re: Megabass Live-X Smolt - how many colours ???

I really love the design and functionality of the Megabass lures I have used but unfortunately the two Live X smolt I owned both seemed to have low durability. The bib on one cracked under normal use (didn't cast it at any walls) and the ITO Shrimp I had filled with water and the internal balancers ...

Re: Walking the dog - how?

yeah general rule of thumb is decent sized loop knot and walkers in calm water poppers in swell. The idea is the walkers don't attract as much attention in choppy water but are more subtle in the calm. Bigger walkers go ok in chop but like I said over 100mmm.

Re: Shrimp Imitation - Anyone know where these can be found

Thanks mate I just did a google search. The DOA are pretty similar and look alright I might get a few but they aren't the same as this one. I really like the fact that it comes just as the shaped plastic as I prefer to rig these up myself so I can keep the weight down. They work best when cast out i...

Shrimp Imitation - Anyone know where these can be found

I found this in the garage and was wondering if anyone has seen them before or knows where they can be purchased online. I rigged it with a decoy jigging single and a Gama spinnerbait stinger. It is the most lifelike shrimp imitation I have seen and I am very keen to get some more. They are quite a ...

Re: Walking the dog - how?

I'd probably forget using smaller walk the dog style lures in swell. Your line will get caught up by the moving water and make things difficult. Maybe 100mm and over would be the go or for that situation. Fizzers or poppers 65mm and over are probably more practical and I'd even guess more effective ...

Interesting lure Schultzy, do you guys reckon the top half of the lure makes any difference with surface lures? The hardware on this one looks very heavy duty.

Re: x smartra

I believe the Megabass lipless cranks get their action through a totally different mechanism to most other lipless cranks. I can't explain it but it supposed to be to do with traditional styles using a flattened front end whereas the Megabass ones use balancers. I've seen the Virbration X lures hook...
