Re: not sure

Thanks Rob,That is very good info and unfortunately I do not have the expertise to distinguish some of the older lures particularly Cod lures.
I thank you once again for coming back with your knowledge.Regards Barry
I will pass onto the fellow I got them off that they may be Newells.

not sure

Need some help with these 2 that I got up on the tablelands yesterday.
Obviously I was leaning towards Newell however the fellow I got them off said he thought they were made by Rob so hopefully we can clear this up.

Re: Kingfish RMG

Rob thankyou for coming back with it's history.I do not have the lure as of yet.
I am hoping to get it soon and if I do I will find out from the owner a little more history.
Great to see some of these older ones still turning up and in particular here in Cairns.

Re: Kingfish RMG

Thanks so far guys. The timber appears to be Red Cedar and the fellow that has it in Cairns says he acquired it a very long time ago in Sydney I think he said.He can't remember the year he got it though.
He has a few other RMG's as well.I am hoping to meet up with him in the New Year.

Kingfish RMG

Came across this recently and wondering on the history.
It is a very nice looking lure albeit the weight inside has expanded a bit.

Re: I picked up my First Hardy.

Well done on your first Hardy.Do not be discouraged with the palming rim as it certainly looks as though it was intentional .Get out there and have some fun with it.

Re: Milestone Flyrod Capture

Having had the pleasure of catching a few small marlin on fly I wholly congratulate you on the feat.My first one was out of my 19ft centre console and it looks like yours was out of a small tinny so well done and get ready for some more now you have broken the ice.Regards Barry
