I would agree that a metal spoon or jig has the best weight at the rear to cast distances. But when you need a longer profile, the new minnows are really a god-send.

Frankly, I was quite amazed at the distances the Japanese lures (Duel Hardcore Sinking Minnow and Maria Code C) could reach these days and after casting a few of them on my new Japanese Sea Bass setup, I was sold on them. GT on Luckycraft Flash Pointer

Caught a nice specimen of GT off a boat in Singapore's eastern waters.

This lure's hooks was changed to SJ-41's with kevlar for stronger hooks.
